I’ve been taking photographs now for about 30 years. In that time I’ve watched the
incredible changes brought about by the arrival new technologies like digital photography
making every moment of every day instantly accessible around the world at the click of a
button. Despite these amazing developments one thing has always remained unchanged
for me – the constant search to photograph those special moments that make the viewer
stop and share the moment with you. Whether its capturing a cheeky grin from a
loved-one, nature at its finest or a magical scene in a far-flung corner of the world, I’ve
never lost that sense of excitement that you feel when looking through your latest batch
of photos to see whether you’ve captured that special something. For me one of the
great things about photography is that you never stop learning – from weddings to
family gatherings, people portraits to scenic landscapes, every time I pick the camera up
I see something new and each new subject brings with it its own set of challenges that
make the difference between just taking a photo and really capturing a moment.
